Join us on the second hike of our fall hiking series!

• Meet: at the east end of the Food Lion parking lot, 250 W. Mills St., Columbus; 8:30 a.m.
• Hiking Distance: 5 miles round-trip
• Elevation Gain: 1,423 feet
• Difficulty: Moderate
• Trail type: Out & Back
• Drive time: 1.5 hours

Hikers will head to Pisgah National Forest Appalachian Range District and hike to the historic fire lookout tower on Rich Mountain (3,643’ elevation). Hikers will be invited to climb the newly restored tower to enjoy beautiful panoramic views of the surrounding mountain, just in time for the trees to show their fall leaf color!
