Growth and Congestion in Our Region
October 11, 2018 @ 5:30 pm - 7:00 pm
Hendersonville Green Drinks welcomes Tristan Winkler, of the French Broad River Metropolitan Planning Organization, to speak about growth and congestion in our region and the steps being taken to address it.
The entire I-26 corridor between Asheville and Hendersonville continues to grow at a rapid pace. How has this growth impacted traffic in our region? What are the plans to address increasing congestion? How can we better integrate our region’s growth to meet our transportation needs?
Tristan Winkler has been working in Western North Carolina as a Regional Transportation Planner with the French Broad River Metropolitan Planning Organization for the past four years. Originally from Chicago, Tristan lived in North Carolina for eight years before moving back to the Midwest to receive his Master’s in Urban Planning from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee in 2013. He now lives in Asheville with his wife and two dogs.
