Workday Description: 

We will be helping to manage invasive species and restore the native habitat.

Volunteers require the ability to navigate uneven terrain, be comfortable digging, and use hand tools such as loppers, pruners, hand saws, and three-pronged hoe. We will provide training on invasive species ID and proper eradication techniques. Tools and gloves will be provided.

The lot is located next to the IGA in Tryon and we are meeting there at 1:00 p.m.

What to Wear:

Work (long) pants, long sleeves, and close-toed shoes; dress for the weather

What to Bring:

Lots of drinking Water, snacks or lunch

Work gloves (if you have a personal pair)

If you would like to bring you own tools, you are welcome to do so.
