We hope you will join us for a riverside litter sweep along the North Pacolet River! The goal is to remove litter left behind by receding Hurricane Helene floodwaters. We will supply trash bags, grabbers, and gloves, but feel free to bring your own if you would like. Please come prepared to walk along a brushy floodplain on uneven terrain.

Please note that that we’ll have to wade across the river (about knee height at deepest).

What to Wear: Waterproof boots/waders are highly recommended. Outdoor attire (including things you don’t mind getting wet and/or dirty), like long sleeves and long pants to protect from sun, bugs, some dense vegetation, etc.

What to Bring: Plenty of water, snacks, sun protection, (optional) work gloves
