Lewis Creek Volunteer Workday

We will be helping to restore this rare Appalachian Bog by doing work to clear the existing trail corridor out by Lewis Creek, an important conservation area that serves as a floodplain and riparian buffer. In addition to trail maintenance, we will do light invasive removal and trash pickup.
Volunteers must be able to walk moderate distances across rough terrain. All tools and gloves will be provided. Plant ID and removal techniques will be taught on-site. You will get dirty, so make sure to wear appropriate clothing to work in.
Be advised: there are limited numbers of vehicles (4) that can fit at this worksite. If you can, carpool with friends/family or be dropped off at the site.
What to Wear:
Work pants, long sleeves; dress for the weather
What to Bring:
Lots of drinking Water, snacks or lunch
Work gloves (if you have a personal pair)
Small backpack to carry your personal items
