Celebrate Earth Day with the Conserving Carolina for a hike at Walnut Creek Preserve (WCP). This hike will be led by Babs Strickland, owner and manager of Walnut Creek Preserve, and the trails will lead hikers through the Preserve’s varied natural resource areas. Participants will enjoy the trails at WCP and stop to enjoy the many wildflowers that should be blooming at this time. The Preserve is private land and the public is only allowed on the property by invitation, so take advantage of this unique opportunity to enjoy the serenity of this beautiful property.

For your safety, do not attempt any hike beyond your ability and experience. Hikers should wear appropriate clothing and footwear; bring a bag lunch and/or snack and plenty of water. Please be sure to bring any personal medication that you may require.

In case of inclement weather, please contact Conserving Carolina’s Southeast (Polk County) office by 8:15 on the day of the hike and/or check the Conserving Carolina Facebook page to see if the hike will take place.
