Clean Up at Tannery Park / Norton Creek

June 24, 2022 @ 9:00 am - 12:00 pm

Join your neighbors and friends in the community to help clean up Tannery Park and Norton Creek! Together with Conserving Carolina, Rotary, the Blue Zones Project, Bartlett Tree Experts, Transylvania County Solid Waste, and the City of Brevard to help get this park open and clean!

Meet on June 24th at 9 am, at the Tannery Skate Park and new Community Garden. Parking is limited, please try to walk, bike, or carpool! Be prepared to go till about noon, bring plenty of water and snacks, wear closed-toe shoes, and supply yourself with anything you need to be outside for about 4 hours (sunscreen, floppy hat, bug spray, etc.). A restroom is on site by the Skate Park. Bags and pickers will be provided. Some gloves are available but best bring your own if you have them. There could be need to get in the creek too, so if you have waders bring those along. We’ll work south from Silversteen Drive towards Rosman Highway.

Tannery Park and Norton Creek are beautiful natural places that just need a little love. There’s a beaver pond, a canebrake, and lots of deer call it home, right there in town! Come help keep this nature park natural!
