Bracken Preserve Trail Maintenance
November 16, 2022 @ 12:00 pm - 4:00 pm
Background Info:
Bracken Preserve is a 395 acre property owned by the City of Brevard. It is home to a network of 9 miles of trails that connect Brevard to the Pisgah National Forest. Included in these trails are Brushy Creek Trail (2.95 mi), Pinnacle Trail (1.5 mi), and Bracken Mountain Trail (7.2 mi) any one of which might be the focus of any particular work day. The trek through Bracken Preserve offers picturesque views of a flowing river and a series of cascading waterfalls, along with abundant wildlife in the unique mountain cove habitats along the trail.
Previous Conserving Carolina volunteers aided in building Pinnacle trail, which officially opened to the public in 2019, and we would like to maintain their immaculate work. This volunteer work will have you maintaining an established trail while also getting in a great workout!
