Adopt-a-Greenway Litter Sweep

When: Friday, October 2nd, from 10am-12pm
Where to Meet: Oklawaha Greenway Balfour Access (near Berkeley Ball Park at 69 Balfour Rd, Hendersonville, NC 28792)
From Asheville Hwy, turn onto Berkely Rd. Where the road splits, take the first left onto Balfour Rd. You will pass Berkeley Ball Park on the left, and a Kimberly Clark truck entrance on the right. After you pass the truck entrance, turn right and arrive at the parking lot. Look for a Conserving Carolina yard sign to guide you to the parking area!
Description: The Oklawaha Greenway provides a green recreational space for the City of Hendersonville and we want to make sure it stays clear of litter! We will clean up litter along Conserving Carolina’s two-mile Adopt-a-Greenway section (Berkely Ball Park to N. Main crossing). Volunteers must be able to walk moderate distances (~3-miles) and may need to bend over to pick up trash. Litter grabbers, gloves, and bags will be provided.
What to Wear: Work pants, long sleeves; dress for the weather, close-toed shoes
What to Bring: Water, snacks, work gloves (optional, if you have a personal pair)
