Double Your Donations on Giving Tuesday
We’re excited that generous donors have offered a $5,000 matching grant for Giving Tuesday! Help us meet the match and bring in $10,000 or more to help protect wild places and open more trails and greenways! To have your donation doubled, make a gift on Dec. 1, the Tuesday after Thanksgiving.
You might have noticed that we had two big trail announcements recently. We went under contract on the Ecusta Trail corridor and we opened a new trail linking Bearwallow and Wildcat Rock.
It’s been an exciting couple of weeks! But the truth is that Conserving Carolina is always working hard to create new opportunities for you to get outside. Right now, our goals include some really special parks, trails, and greenways and we need your support to make them happen.
When you make a donation on Giving Tuesday, you’ll be helping to:
- Open 3 additional miles of trails in the Upper Hickory Nut Gorge.
- Open 2.5 more miles of trails near Lake Lure
- Open a new Henderson County park adjacent to the Green River Game Lands
- Advance 5 new or expanded greenways

How to Have Your Gift Doubled
To have your donation count toward the match, you need to make it on Giving Tuesday, Dec. 1. There are three ways you can give:
- You can give online here.
- You can call Jenn at 828-697-5777, ext. 209 to donate by phone.
- You can write a check dated today, Dec. 1, with “Giving Tuesday” in the memo line. Please mail checks to Conserving Carolina, 847 Case St., Hendersonville, NC 28792.
More Ways for You to Give
On this holiday that celebrates generosity, it’s a good time to think about how you can make the greatest difference with your donations. You may want to think about these options:
- Monthly giving lets us know we can count on you while spreading out your donation in convenient monthly installments. It’s easy. Just go here to donate and choose “Recurring Donation.”
- Non-cash giving, such as gifts of stock, can provide significant tax advantages that multiply your generosity. In some cases, well over half of the value of your donation is offset by tax savings.
- Legacy giving is one of the most profound ways you can support conservation. You can leave a legacy by planning a gift in your will or making Conserving Carolina a beneficiary of your retirement account or life insurance policy.
