We’re absolutely bursting with joy to announce that a significant milestone has been reached today: the first section of the Ecusta Trail is now officially open! For years, this vision has been nurtured, and seeing it become a tangible reality is truly thrilling.

Conserving Carolina proudly partnered with the Friends of the Ecusta Trail from the very beginning, undertaking the crucial initial steps of purchasing the former rail line that forms the backbone of this future greenway. Following this pivotal acquisition, the hard work continued as we joined forces to raise the necessary funds for the complex construction process.
It was undeniably a huge undertaking, filled with challenges and requiring tireless effort. But the overwhelming generosity, unwavering enthusiasm, and deep commitment of our community have been the driving forces behind this success.
