As the Trails and Greenways Coordinator, Kristin supports Conserving Carolina’s efforts to create and link greenways and trails across the region starting with the Ecusta Trail, Saluda Grade Trail and Hickory Nut Gorge State Trail projects. Kristin has called Asheville home since 2004 and is grateful every day to live and work in such a beautiful place. She worked for many years as a watershed planner for the State of NC and for Confluence Engineering on stream restoration projects in Western NC and Eastern TN. Most recently, she worked for the Appalachian Trail Conservancy as the Southern Regional Office Administrator. Kristin has a BA from the University of Virginia in Environmental Science and a Masters in Public Policy and Masters in Environmental Management from Duke University. In her free time, she stays busy hiking with her family, biking on roads and trails across the region and trying to outwit the animals that visit her garden.
