Kristin was born and raised in the Northwest suburbs of Chicago, Illinois. She received her bachelor’s degree in Interior Design with a minor in Environmental Studies from Southern Illinois University Carbondale in May of 2017. Throughout college, she was heavily involved in a student leadership organization where she grew a love for service and nonprofit programming. After a few years in the design field, Kristin decided to follow her heart and transition into the nonprofit sector.
She committed to a year of service with an AmeriCorps program focused on putting opportunity within everyone’s reach, elevating this flat lander to her full potential and bringing her to Asheville. Kristin is excited to continue her professional growth in nonprofit programming with Conserving Carolina as the AmeriCorps Project Conserve, Temporary Program Coordinator. She hopes to one day receive her Master’s in Public Administration, become a director of programs, and potentially make her way into an Executive Director position. On the weekend, you can find Kristin hiking on the Blue Ridge Parkway, praising the Lord, and taking in the local views, eats, and brews!Back to Staff Back to Staff
