Jenn Tutor brings a relationship-driven approach to her work as Development Director, rooted in a deep love of community, wild places, and the belief that people are better when they care about something bigger than themselves.
A Greenville, SC native, Jenn attended Warren Wilson College, where studying Environmental Studies helped her see the world through connection, land, and responsibility to one another. Her path led her to service with AmeriCorps Project Conserve in 2012 and, soon after, into a permanent role with Conserving Carolina in 2014. A role that started in land protection eventually shifted into philanthropy when she discovered how much she loves working with people.
For Jenn, relationship building is the foundation of philanthropy. She’s energized by people who care deeply about the natural world. She loves the way a simple conversation can turn into a shared purpose. She likes the reciprocal effect of feeling good and doing good work in partnership.
When out of the office, Jenn is usually outside rock climbing, running trails, or basking in the trees. Nature is where she works, finds peace, builds courage, and occasionally fights gravity. She lives in Mills River with her husband, their dog, and a one-eyed cat who runs the household.
Jenn is most at home in spaces where people, place, and purpose overlap and where caring deeply about the planet is just part of how you show up in the world.
