PBS Show Features Conserving Carolina Restorations

Your story is on TV! Some amazing filmmakers from PBS came out this winter to tell the story of the natural floodplain restorations that you support… and the difference they made when Helene struck. Just three of these restorations stored over 1 billion gallons of water!

It is now live and you can watch it today! Here are two ways to watch:

It’s a powerful story with a hopeful vision for resilience, and we are excited for you to see it! Let us know what you think.

We also want to thank major funders for the projects that are featured—NC Land and Water FundNational Fish and Wildlife Foundation, and Henderson County– NC Department of Public Safety. We are also grateful to the many partners who have worked with us on these important restoration projects!

With the support of our members, funders, and partners, we are now working on nine more restorations. Thank you!

P.S. There will be a screening and panel discussion of this show at the NC Museum of Natural Sciences next Tuesday, April 22 from 7-9. Our communications director, Rose Lane, will be on the panel. You can get free in-person or virtual tickets here and join the conversation!
