Camille grew up in Charlotte, North Carolina. She spent a significant part of her childhood in the mountains of western North Carolina and along the coast of Maine. It was there she developed her deep appreciation for the natural world.

At Appalachian State University, Camille majored in Recreation and Park Management with a minor in Biology. While at App State, she was introduced to environmental education and quickly fell in love with the field. Camille believes that environmental education is one of the most effective conservation strategies. Positive experiences in nature can inspire others to become stewards of the environment.

Serving with Conserving Carolina, Camille is excited to provide opportunities for others to engage in meaningful ways with the natural environment of western North Carolina, a place that holds a special significance for her.
