What is Land Trust Day?

Every year since 1992, on the first Saturday of June, businesses and land trusts across North Carolina have come together to celebrate Land Trust Day. In previous years, businesses have shown their support by donating 10-20% of the daily sales to Conserving Carolina. But, Land Trust Day will look a little different this year.

“With many businesses closed this year, we are not asking them to donate,” says executive director, Kieran Roe. “Instead, we would like to honor the businesses that supported us in 2019 and encourage our community to come together to support these businesses and conservation.”

This year, consider shopping, buying a gift card, or ordering food from one of the local Land Trust Day partners. Then, consider making a donation to Conserving Carolina. Every gift will be matched by Hunter Subaru, up to $5,000! That’s a total of $10,000 to support local land conservation. Please help us reach our our goal by donating from June 3 to June 6 for Land Trust Day!
