Land is Our Common Ground

At Conserving Carolina, we believe in working together. We believe in civil discourse, compassion, and cooperation. We believe in equity and social justice. And we believe in democracy. We depend on a strong and stable democracy so that “we the people” have a voice in decisions about the land and water that sustain our lives.

As a land trust, we believe that land is truly our common ground. We believe that our shared love for the natural world can bring us together, bringing much needed healing in this time of division.

We are deeply troubled by the violence and threats of violence at our U.S. Capitol and state capitols. We hope that you will join us in decrying all acts of violence, and coming together to save our lands, preserve our democracy, and heal our country.
