How to Make Your Year-End Gift

Dear Friend,
As 2024 draws to a close, I want to extend my heartfelt gratitude to you for standing with Conserving Carolina and embracing our shared mission. In this season of reflection and gratitude—and with the devastation of Hurricane Helene never far from mind—I am deeply inspired by your unwavering generosity and your belief in the importance of protecting the natural world. Your commitment fills me with hope for a brighter and more resilient future and is a constant presence in my thoughts.
Thank you for protecting plants and animals, fostering a more resilient landscape, and creating meaningful opportunities for people to connect with and cherish the natural world. You have made an incredible difference this year, and I am endlessly grateful to you.
As you reflect on your end-of-year giving plans, I’d like to share some helpful information about the different ways to make a charitable contribution that will count in the 2024 tax year.
Donations in the mail:
Send your checks or cash donations to:

Donations received in the mail will be counted as a 2024 donation if the envelope is postmarked on or before December 31, 2024. Mail with a postmark after December 31 will be processed and dated January 2024. Please note that we cannot back-date gifts received in another calendar year, nor can we use the date written on the check. Checks sent via FedEx, UPS, or other non-federally sponsored mail services must be received by December 31, 2024, to be receipted as a 2024 contribution.
Online Donations
Online donations are the fastest way to ensure your gift is received by the end of the year. Online donations will be counted in 2024 so long as they are made by midnight EST on December 31, 2024. If you need assistance, give me a call at 828-697-5777 ext. 209 until 5:00 pm on December 31.
Donations in Person
Due to staff holiday schedules, please call ahead before dropping off your donation to ensure someone will be available in the office to receive it. Please call 828-697-5777 ext. 209. Please note our office will be closed on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and New Year’s Day.
