Double Your Donation on Giving Tuesday!

We have a huge opportunity this Giving Tuesday! A very generous donor has offered to match up to $10,000 in donations on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving—Nov. 29. That’s a big challenge. Will you  help us seize this opportunity and meet the match?

All donations to Conserving Carolina made on Tuesday, Nov. 29 will count toward the match, whether you give online, by phone, or by sending a check. Your donations will support amazing conservation projects like these:

  • Hickory Nut Gorge State Trail: You will help us realize our vision for a 100+ mile trail system in the Hickory Nut Gorge. Already, over 38 miles are open. This includes Strawberry Gap, Youngs Mountain, and Wildcat Rock—three breathtaking new hiking trails opened in the last 3 years. Help us build the next one!
  • 50 Miles of Rail Trails: You will be supporting two visionary new rail trails, the 19-mile Ecusta Trail and 31-mile Saluda Grade Trail—which we ultimately hope to link. Together, they would provide 50 miles of destination rail trails that would be game changers for our local economies, outdoor recreation, and health.
  • Restorations Along the French Broad River: You’ll be expanding the transformation we’ve seen at Mud Creek. You will be helping us break ground on six new stream and floodplain restorations! That means you’re bringing back wildlife habitat, improving climate resilience, and providing clean water.
  • Outdoors for Everyone: You’ll be offering life changing experiences in nature for everyone. Your gift will create new parks, trails, and greenways. You will also be expanding opportunities for people to connect with nature through field trips, youth programs, community partnerships, and more.

How to Have Your Donation Doubled

All donations made to Conserving Carolina on Tuesday, Nov. 29, will be doubled, up to $10,000. This means we have the opportunity to raise $20,000 or more for conservation! 

  • You can give online here any time before midnight.
  • To donate by phone, call Kai Lamminen at 828-697-5777 x. 222, during business hours, 9 AM to 5 PM
  • To donate by check, send a check dated Nov. 29, 2022 with “Giving Tuesday” in the subject line. Send your check to Conserving Carolina, 847 Case St., Hendersonville NC 28792.
