The Power to Make a Brighter Future

This six-minute video explores what we are all about — hope.

We asked middle school students to answer this question. Fill in the blank: “I want a future where __________________.”

How would you answer?

There’s a lot to worry about when we look to the future. These young people told us what scares them. But they also shared how working with Conserving Carolina makes them feel more empowered and hopeful.

And it’s not just these kids. We also talked to Woody Platt, a landowner in Transylvania County about restoring a river… and how he now sees more fish, herons, and eagles.

We talked to Jane Lawson about how she and her husband John Myers launched the vision of the Hickory Nut Gorge Trail… and now you can go there and hike in incredible, protected places.

If you ever feel powerless to create the kind of future that you want to see, these stories are for you. Check out the video. Then tell us how you want to get involved.
