Saluda Library Speaker Series – Solar Power and Electric Vehicles – how they work, reduce your environmental impact, increase resilience, and save you money.

Speaker: Steve O’Neil, executive director of Earthshine Nature Programs
Steve will share his fully electric truck and solar powered RV, as well as his insight and experiences of building and using solar power systems as well as driving 100% electric vehicles for over a decade.
This presentation will start inside and then we will head outside to view Steve’s fully electric truck and solar powered RV/mobile classroom.
Steve is from Hendersonville, North Carolina and has worked as an interpretive naturalist for many years and with many organizations. He is the Executive Director of Earthshine Nature Programs. He received is Associate of Applied Science in Wildlife & Fisheries Management from Haywood Community College and his Bachelor of Science in Recreation Mgt./Outdoor Experiential Education from Appalachian State University, and he loves to share his passion for forests, mountains, caves, swamps, and dunes – in search of all things and all places wild and wonderful – with youngsters and adults.
