November 10 @ 2:00 pm - 3:30 pm

Date: November 10, 2026

Time: 2:00 p.m.

Location: Polk County Public Libraries, Saluda Branch

Speaker: Isaac Wyatt, Education Director at Bullington Gardens

Join Isaac Wyatt, Education Director at Bullington Gardens, for an inspiring conversation about the power of outdoor education! How do we connect people of all ages with nature in a rapidly changing world? And how can outdoor education help us better understand and care for our environment? Isaac Wyatt has the unique opportunity to educate everyone from curious 5-year-olds to lifelong learners in their 90s about horticulture, nature, and the environment. In this engaging discussion, he’ll share the opportunities, challenges, and rewards of teaching across generations. Discover how multigenerational learning can bring people together, inspire a deeper connection to the natural world, and create a lasting impact on both education and the environment. Come be inspired, learn something new, and explore how outdoor education can make a difference at every age!

Isaac was born and raised in Haywood County. A graduate of Pisgah High School and Western Carolina University, he is a lifelong resident of Western North Carolina. His love of horticulture—and the natural beauty that surrounded him—led him to earn a degree in Natural Resources Conservation and Management.

He began his career with the NC Cooperative Extension before joining the Bullington team, where he served as an Agricultural Program Assistant and later as a County Small Farms Agent.

As Education Director for Bullington Gardens, Isaac leads the education mission and inspires community members through practical, uplifting learning. He teaches hands-on classes in topics such as dahlia cultivation, orchid culture, pruning, and more.

The Saluda Library Speaker Series programs are made possible thanks to our partnership with the Polk County Public Libraries Systems.
