Liberating Your Creative Nature

April 20 @ 2:00 pm - 4:30 pm

Creativity lives within all of us. Nature has a special way of nurturing the creative spirit, helping it blossom and grow. Learn to better connect with nature to unlock your heart’s desire. Spend the afternoon with your guide, John Thomas Whitfield, BFA Studio Fine Arts, Appalachian State, at the pristine Transfiguration Preserve* in the Hickory Nut Gorge in Bat Cave, NC.

Embark on a journey through nature and self-reflection. This experience is for creatives of all varieties, and especially for those seeking to awaken the creative spirit within. Whether you are – or aspire to be – an artist, maker, poet, musician, actor or dancer, all mediums and genres are welcome. No prior experience needed. Basic supplies provided, but feel free to bring anything that will support you on your journey that you can easily carry on the trail.

Advance registration required. Additional information and directions will be emailed to all registered guests 48 hours before the event. This experience is limited to 12 participants. Registration will close at noon on April 18.

Participants should be able to walk one mile on uneven terrain with a moderate grade. Modifications are available with advance notice. Please reach out to [email protected] with questions or concerns.

Donations are appreciated but not required. The amount of your gift is entirely up to you. A donation of $30 is suggested for those who are able. Donations of $35 or more will include Conserving Carolina membership benefits.

*Transfiguration Preserve is private property and guests are only allowed on the property by invitation (a planned event or scheduled group).
