Speaker: Kevin Adams, naturalist, writer, teacher, and photographer

Join Kevin Adams on a waterfalling journey along the French Broad River, from its headwaters at Devils Courthouse to the Tennessee state line. You’ll see lots of photos of scenic waterfalls, but there is much more to the falls than beauty. Kevin will talk about the cultural, geological, biological, and physiological significance of the waterfalls, as well as how they exist within the overall conservation of the landscape.

Kevin Adams is a naturalist, writer, teacher, and photographer who has had a lifelong love affair with nature and the outdoors. In addition to photo and writing credits in all manner of publications, Kevin is the author and photographer of ten books, including North Carolina Waterfalls. An accomplished photography instructor, he leads photo tours and teaches numerous workshops and seminars throughout the year. Kevin lives in Waynesville, North Carolina with his wife, Patricia, their elderly cat Lucy, three hellion cats that he personally rescued from Puerto Rico, and two more cats that showed up one day and decided to move in. Oh, and the raccoons, skunks, and opossums that show up every night to steal the cat’s food.
