Conversations with the Wild: A Nature Journaling Experience

March 23 @ 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Immerse yourself in the enchanting world of Nature Journaling. This experience offers a harmonious blend of nature and self-reflection. Spend an afternoon with your guide, John Thomas Whitfield, BFA Studio Fine Arts, Appalachian State, at the pristine Transfiguration Preserve in Hickory Nut Gorge.

With journal in hand we will depart for an enriching stroll through the preserve, listening to the leaves and talking to the trees. Learn to slow down and see the forest for the trees. Journals and writing utensils will be provided, but feel free to bring your own if so inspired. This class is open to any and all who wish to step out of the tamed world and into the wild. Embark on this retreat for a rejuvenating experience to nourish body and soul!

Advance registration required. Additional information and directions will be emailed to all registered guests 48 hours before the event. This experience is limited to 12 participants.

*Participants should be able to walk one mile on uneven terrain with a moderate grade. Modifications are available with advance notice. Please reach out to [email protected] with questions or concerns.
