Join us to learn about Privet, a non-native invasive species, its history in the south, and the need for control in alluvial forests. Then we will work together to remove these woody shrubs from the Community Green property along a trail that parallels the Green River in Polk County.

We will be using hand saws, pruners, as well as our hands when appropriate. Tools and gloves will be provided and we will give a demonstration on removal techniques.

Bring boots, long-sleeve shirts and pants, water, and a snack.
