Brackenfest 3.0 is a fundraising event to expand Bracken Preserve – Brevard’s own trail system which directly links to the Pisgah National Forest. With a current 432 acres and nine miles of trail – we are on our way to adding the next 3-4 miles (with 1-2 miles planned for completion within 2025) of beginner and intermediate trails and need your help! 

Brackenfest is a Time Trial event – the winners achieving the most laps in a three hour timeline – and the bragging rights that the winners deserve. This year the event is open to Trail Runners as well! 

Thanks to generous donations – 100% of the proceeds from the event go to the new Bracken Trails 

Prizes for the winners in all categories – Adult Men and Women, Student Men and Women, and Youth. Award Ceremony will be at 1:00PM 

Lunch for participants and volunteers is included in registration and location will be announced within this week. If you would like your friends or family to join you – there is a $15.00 additional cost. (Lunch and non-alcoholic beverages included). Beer or Wine is available.

Please consider getting your own sponsors to donate to the event – maybe a $ per lap based on your prediction? 

We also have a raffle with tickets priced at $20 each with major items being added each week. So far we have a set of Gulo Wheels (Value of $2250) and a biking kit from Cognative MTB, as well as a party package from Oskar Blues and a Breakfast or Lunch package from Morning Social. Those present at the event will be able to pick the prizes they want their tickets to go towards!
