Forest Bathing: Autumn “Creativity in Nature” Retreat

September 7 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

Creativity lives within all of us. Nature has a special way of nurturing the creative spirit, helping it blossom and grow. Learn to better connect with nature to unlock your heart’s desire. Spend the morning with your guide, John Thomas Whitfield, BFA Studio Fine Arts, Appalachian State, at the pristine Transfiguration Preserve* in the Hickory Nut Gorge of Bat Cave, NC. Come join JT Whitfield exploring nature in this pristine setting…making journals, collecting leaves and other treasures to deepen your relationships with the more than human world.

Embark on a journey through nature and self-reflection. This experience is for creatives of all varieties, and especially for those seeking to awaken the creative spirit within. Whether you are – or aspire to be – an artist, maker, poet, musician, actor or dancer, all mediums and genres are welcome. No prior experience needed. Basic supplies provided, but feel free to bring anything that will support you on your journey that you can easily carry on the trail.

Advance registration required. Additional information and directions will be emailed to all registered guests 48 hours before the event. This experience is limited to 12 participants.

*Participants should be able to walk one mile on uneven terrain with a moderate grade. Modifications are available with advance notice. Please reach out to johntwhitfield@hotmail.com with questions or concerns.
