Adopt-A-Highway Litter Sweep and Optional Hike up Bearwallow

Join us for a community road side litter sweep and an optional hike on one of our favorite trails!

When: May 22nd, 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.

Optional: Hike up Bearwallow Mountain, 3:00 p.m. – 4:30 p.m.

Meet: Fruitland Baptist Bible College
We will clean up litter along our Adopt-a-Highway section on South Mills Gap Road from 1PM – 3PM. Tools, safety vests, and gloves will be provided. We will meet at the Fruitland Baptist Bible College.
Afterwards, please join us for a hike up Bearwallow Mountain (optional; 3 PM – 4:30 PM). This is a rewarding ~2 mile (round trip) hike with nearly 360 degree views!
Volunteers must be able to walk moderate distances across rough terrain.
What to Wear:
Work pants
long sleeves
dress for the weather
Closed toed shoes
What to Bring:
Drinking Water
Snacks / lunch
Work gloves (if you have a personal pair)
