How to Donate to a Specific Conservation Project
Currently, we have fundraising campaigns dedicated to the Ecusta Trail, the Mills River Valley Trail, and Bell Park. If you wish to make a gift toward one of these projects, here’s how to do that:
- If you’re giving online, use the links below to donate to each of the project of your choice. (Or, go here and and select the project under “Donation Purpose.”)
- If you donate by phone, just let us know that you are donating toward one of these campaigns.
- If you’re sending a check, write the name of the project in the memo line.
Thank you so much! We can’t wait to open these new parks and trails for everyone to enjoy.
If there is another conservation project that is close to your heart, we’d be happy to talk with you about a dedicated gift in support of that project. Please reach out to our Development Director, Lynn Killian about your gift. She can be reached at 828-697-5777, x.202 or lynn@conservingcarolina.org.
All donations to Conserving Carolina support valuable conservation projects, including parks, greenways, trails, farms, rivers, forests, and wetlands. Often, the best way you can support conservation is to simply make your gift to Conserving Carolina and allow us to use it to support conservation where most needed.
The Ecusta Trail
The Ecusta Trail is a 19-mile greenway that will connect Hendersonville and Brevard. We envision it as one of the premier destination greenways in the Southeast. This new rail trail will create new opportunities to get outside, boost local businesses, and draw tourists to our area. In [FUTURE DATE], a subsidiary of Conserving Carolina called EcustaRails2Trails, LLC, purchased the corridor. We’ve got the land. Now we’re raising money to build the trail. Learn more.
The Mills River Valley Trail
A new path along NC 280 will create a safe route for walking and biking, linking the heart of Mills River to the French Broad River. The Mills River Valley Trail will make the road safer for everyone, provide opportunities for recreation, and make Mills River a more attractive place to live and work. Make a donation toward this new greenway and your gift will be multiplied x5! To donate, go here, and choose Mills River Valley Trail under “Donation Purpose.”
Bell Park
We’re so close to opening a new park in southern Henderson County! Named in honor of summer camp pioneers Frank and Calla Bell, the new park comprises approximately 70 acres with beautiful waterfalls and rock outcrops. We’ve already done the hard part: we secured the land. Now, we just need to raise the funds for trails and a parking area, so we can open Bell Park. Learn more.
