Tim Bell was enchanted with the mountains of western North Carolina from his first experience as a young camper bordering Pisgah National Forest, where he developed an eagerness for whitewater kayaking, cycling, and wilderness experiences. After receiving a BA in Wilderness Leadership and Experiential Education from Brevard College in 2002, Tim and his wife, Sara, planted roots in Saluda, NC, raising two children, Finn and Hurley, and starting two successful adventure tourism businesses, Green River Adventures and The Gorge Zipline.
The value of conserved and protected land has touched every aspect of Tim’s life including personal property, lifestyle, livelihood, parenthood and community service. He is excited to serve at Conserving Carolina to preserve this unique area for future generations.”
