Demi Loftis and her husband Al are native South Carolinians who moved to Cedar Mountain, NC in 2005, when she became a real estate broker and is licensed in both North Carolina and South Carolina. She quickly became a leading real estate agent in the area and still enjoys helping sellers and buyers with their real estate needs.

Prior to the move Demi enjoyed her career in public service/administration. She started her career as a teacher for the gifted and talented, having obtained a degree in secondary education from the University of South Carolina. Her love of public policy led her to obtain a Masters in Public Administration several years later; also from the University of South Carolina. Some of her career highlights included establishing a mediation program for employer/employee relations, being part of a team to update accounting practices in the State, overseeing the budgets of state agencies for approval by the Budget and Control Board and Legislature, and eventually becoming a Deputy Director for several large state agencies.

Demi wants her legacy to be one that played a role in conserving the beautiful lands of the Carolinas and is a legacy donor for both Conserving Carolina and the Low Country Land Trust. She encourages others to play a role in conserving the beautiful lands that surround us. When time allows, she enjoys hiking, gardening and reading books about history.
