Green Drinks: Data Centers – Risks and Best Practices

During this program, Patrick Hunter will examine the environmental impacts of data center development, highlight current and proposed data center projects across the region, and explore how communities are working to protect their interests amid the rapid expansion of the data center industry.

Patrick Hunter is a senior attorney at the Southern Environmental Law Center. Originally from New Bern, NC, he now leads SELC’s office in Asheville. He received his undergraduate and law degrees from UNC-Chapel Hill. The Southern Environmental Law Center is a nonprofit, nonpartisan legal advocacy organization that works to protect the basic right to clean air, clean water, and a livable climate; to preserve the South’s natural treasures and rich biodiversity; and to provide a healthy environment for all.

6:00 p.m.: Enjoy the presentation and learn something new!

 

Hendersonville Green Drinks is presented by Conserving Carolina, MountainTrue and The Local Table curated by Stump Farms. Come to Green Drinks to learn more about current environmental issues, have relevant discussions, and meet with like-minded people. This is a monthly event and everyone is welcome. You don’t have to drink at Green Drinks, just come and listen. The Local Table offers beer, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages and a limited food menu will be available.
