Savannah grew up in the Piedmont of North Carolina surrounded by more trees than people. Spending so much time outdoors starting at a young age Savannah knew she wanted to share her love of nature with others one day. As a teenager Savannah spent her free time volunteering at the local science center as a docent and doing other environmental service projects. After graduating high school Savannah moved to Western NC to study Outdoor Education with the hopes of getting others outside and helping to provide education/access to those who do not have equal access to the outdoors. Throughout college Savannah developed a special interest specifically in environmental justice. Savannah is thrilled to be serving with her host site (MountainTrue) providing conservation education to those located in Western NC. In her free time you can find Savannah hiking, exploring new places, sitting by campfires with her husband and backpacking.
