Olivia grew up in Asheville, North Carolina. She always had an interest in the outdoors, but her passion for environmental sustainability began at Appalachian State University, where she received a B.S. in Sustainable Development with a focus in environmental studies. An internship at Appalachian Voices made Olivia realize she wanted to work in environmental nonprofits, and since moving back to Asheville, she has been searching for a way to promote sustainability in WNC. This led her to AmeriCorps Project Conserve. Olivia is excited to serve as the Community Engagement Associate for Conserving Carolina for a second term. In her free time, you can find her hiking, adventuring to swimming holes, seeing live music, or borrowing a friend’s dog for the day.
