Leigh is a graduate of Haywood Community College’s Fish & Wildlife Management Technology Program with a focus on southeastern forest management. She has continued her education by attending Oregon State University’s Fisheries and Wildlife Sciences B.S. program. Leigh has completed two previous Americorps terms, her first as a forestry crew lead in Nevada Conservation Corps and her second as a biological technician at Camas National Wildlife Refuge in Idaho. She loves nature photography, especially photographing native flowers at peak bloom. Although born and raised in New Jersey, Leigh is very excited to be participating in her third Americorps term in western North Carolina, where her passion for natural resources began.
