Juliana grew up in Annapolis, Maryland, where she loved exploring the Chesapeake Bay watershed. She recently received her Bachelor’s in Environmental Studies and Sustainability from Elon University. During her time at school she helped manage her university’s vegetable farm, which fueled her passion to pursue a career related to sustainable agriculture and conservation.

Juliana has worked for an educational non-profit that connects urban school-aged children to green spaces and farming knowledge, explored various permaculture spaces from North Carolina to New Zealand, and worked for a refugee farming collective which strives to connect these communities with culturally relevant foods. Juliana is now excited to connect her farming experience with water conservation work to help protect the Mills River Watershed by educating and working alongside community members, landowners, and school children.
