Josh grew up in Shelby, North Carolina. Throughout his formative years, he was immensely interested by science and nature. He went to school at Appalachian State University, obtaining a bachelor’s degree in Mathematics. After college, he moved to Colorado to work on a trails crew, an experience that shaped his career path moving forward. In 2018, Josh thru hiked the Appalachian Trail. Josh has lived in western North Carolina for the past three years working for conservation corps, wilderness therapy, and an outdoor school, but never going far from trails. He is excited to be working with Conserving Carolina to further his work in conservation and trail building.
