Devon was born and raised in Raleigh, North Carolina, where she spent most of her childhood exploring the woods with her Dalmatians, Lucy, and Zoë. It wasn’t until her beloved forests started turning into subdivisions that Devon realized how much we can learn from nature and why we should fight to protect beautiful places. She followed her passions to the coast where she attended the College of Charleston in South Carolina. Here, she spent four years playing at the beach, kayaking in the marshes (and occasionally the streets after hurricanes), and volunteering at the local aquarium, all while pursuing a degree in Biology and Anthropology. Devon is excited to serve as the Trails Associate for Conserving Carolina and looks forward to spending her time helping people connect with our beautiful mountains. When she isn’t hitting the trails, Devon enjoys trying new taco joints, gardening, and learning how to ride a bike.
