CiCi grew up traveling the world in a military family, but home for her is in Athens, Ohio surrounded by the lush ecology of Appalachia. She recently graduated from Canisius College in Buffalo, New York with a degree in Animal Behavior, Ecology, and Conservation and minors in Sociology, Psychology, and Anthrozoology. A wanderer at heart, CiCi has studied community-based conservation in Uganda and Kenya, ecotourism in British Columbia, tiger conservation in India, and been a wildlife guide for the National Park Service on a vessel in Alaska. However, she is a firm believer in “think global, act local” and is most proud of her research on ecological worldviews of kids in Title I schools in Buffalo, and of her role as a STEAM Educator for the Girl Scouts of Western New York. She is excited to be a part of Project Conserve and continue her passion for working towards improving justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion in the outdoors!
