Baily grew up in the Suburbs of Chicago, playing a variety of sports including soccer, gymnastics, and diving; as well as pole vaulting in college. She went on family trips to many national parks including the badlands, smoky mountains, devils tower, and the grand canyon. She attended the University of Wisconsin- Whitewater, graduating with a degree in biology and a minor in environmental studies. Baily worked as a teachers assistant for a two week travel course to Yellowstone National Park, where she grew even more fond of the mountains. She also worked for Jefferson County Parks in Wisconsin for two years, performing various tasks including trail maintenance, river clean ups, felling dead ash trees, and habitat restoration. Her hobbies include rock climbing, hiking, reading, and yoga. Baily cannot wait to explore the state and national parks in the area to climb and camp.
