VIRTUAL Tails and Trails Week
June 7, 2020 - June 13, 2020
Join us June 7-13 for a Virtual Celebration of Getting Outside with Your Pet!
After careful consideration of the effects of COVID-19, we feel it is in the best interest and safety of all to cancel our in-person Tails and Trails event with Blue Ridge Humane Society for this year. However, we still want to encourage you to get outside and walk or hike with your pet while following CDC guidelines for physical distancing!
During the week of June 7-13, take a photo of you getting outside with your pet and share it with us on social media. Use the hashtag #TailsandTrails2020 for a chance to win prizes from Conserving Carolina and BRHS!
This is a great time to explore local trails that may be new to you, less traveled, or even in your own neighborhood. Here’s a list of local options Conserving Carolina helped protect including the Oklawaha Greenway or even our Weed Patch Mountain Trail if you’re really looking for wide-open spaces!
If you have already registered for Tails and Trails, you have a few options:
- Do nothing, and your registration will be entered in a drawing for a chance to win our prize pack. This will be considered as a tax-deductible donation to Conserving Carolina and the Blue Ridge Humane Society to support our work during this trying time.
- Request a refund by emailing Laura Rice at lrice@blueridgehumane.org (the refund process may take 7-14 days due to the current coronavirus situation and limited office hours).
Please review best practices from the American Hiking Society regarding safe trail use. Thank you and we hope you all stay healthy and safe out there!
