Oklawaha Greenway Benefit Concert by John Perkins and Kathy Watkins
Local songwriter, singer, and musician, John Perkins, and singing partner Kathy Watkins, will perform a concert to benefit the Oklawaha Greenway on the porch of Killarney House, one of Hendersonville’s oldest homes. All proceeds will be used to help keep the Oklawaha Greenway growing and healthy.
Social Hour at 6:30 pm. Music starts at 7:00 pm.
Lemonade will be provided. Bring other drinks and snacks to share if you wish. Suggested donation $15. (For a tax-deductible receipt, make checks payable to MountainTrue with a note in the memo line indicating that the contribution is for the Oklawaha Greenway).
John has played at the Feed & Seed in Fletcher and has done many house concerts. His whole life and his music show a real love of nature. For this show, John’s written new “OKLAWAHA” words to an old favorite bluegrass song.
