After carefully considering the effects of COVID-19, we feel it is in the best interest and safety of all to cancel our in-person Tails and Trails event with Blue Ridge Humane Society for this year. However, we still want to encourage you to get outside and walk or hike with your pet while following CDC guidelines for physical distancing!

During the week of June 7-13, take a photo of you walking or hiking with your pet and share it on social media with the hashtag #TailsandTrails2020 for a chance to win prizes! For more details, visit our new event celebrating Virtual Tails and Trails Week!

WANTED: STRONG LEGS, POSITIVE ATTITUDES, & WAGGING TAILS

Saturday, June 13 @ 10:00 a.m.

Bearwallow Mountain Trail in Gerton, NC

Bring your best human friend or non-human buddy (better yet, both) with you for a charity hike up Bearwallow Mountain! Hike the 1-mile trail to the grassy bald of Bearwallow Mountain with fellow conservation-loving pet owners to enjoy the panoramic views. Proceeds benefit Conserving Carolina and the Blue Ridge Humane Society.

Registration for this event is $20 and there is no registration cut off and day-of registrations will be accepted. Once registered, please check your email for more details as we get closer to the event.

Check-in will begin at 10:00 a.m. at the trail head. All participants–humans and their furry friends–must check in prior to the start of the hike. Proceeds benefit Conserving Carolina & Blue Ridge Humane Society.
