Date: May 16th, 2019

While North America is blessed with a vast variety of plant and animal life, we have only one marsupial. Opossums are arguably the most misunderstood and inappropriately maligned native species in our country. Join us as we sort out fact from fiction and even meet an opossum or two. We guarantee you will learn something new!
After graduating from Western Maryland College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education and Studio Arts she began a career in Environmental Education, traveling around the country learning and teaching about our many different ecosystems and appreciation for our natural resources. Beth currently serves as the Community Outreach & Summer Camp Coordinator for the Watershed Ecology Center at the University of South Carolina Upstate. In her free time, Beth also volunteers with the Opossum’s Pouch Rescue and Rehab, raising, releasing, and rehabbing opossum’s.
