Hendersonville Green Drinks welcomes Greg Carter of Deep Woods Mushrooms to speak about mushroom growing and foraging.

Deep Woods Mushrooms is a fungiculture and education center in the Pisgah National Forest of Western North Carolina. It is a distributor for Field and Forest Products carrying a full line of mushroom spawn and growing supplies and dedicated to the sustainable cultivation of edible and medicinal mushrooms, foraging and identifying wild edible mushrooms and teaching how to incorporate mushroom cultivation into your permaculture or property. It offers inoculation workshops, farm tours, and foraging tours from March – October.

Greg Carter will discuss methods for finding and foraging mushrooms and how to cultivate mushrooms into your outdoor space.

6:00 p.m.: Enjoy the presentation and learn something new!

Hendersonville Green Drinks is presented by Conserving Carolina, MountainTrue and Black Bear Coffee Co. Come to Green Drinks to learn more about current environmental issues, have relevant discussions, and meet with like-minded people. This is a monthly event and everyone is welcome. You don’t have to drink at Green Drinks, just come and listen. Black Bear Coffee offers beer, wine, coffee drinks, and sodas. A limited food menu will be available.
