Background Info:
Conserving Carolina is partnering with Tierra Fertile to create a community space at a property we own, Las Flores. Over the past few years, volunteers have been working to manage and remove non-native invasive plants from this property, and finally, we’re constructing a community garden on the site! Join us as we tend this budding garden space! We will be managing some of the unwanted growth around the garden, installing a rain barrel, weeding the raised beds, and planting some herbs and flowers.

Conservando Carolina se está asociando con Tierra Fértil para crear un espacio comunitario en una propiedad que poseemos, Las Flores. En los últimos años, los voluntarios han estado trabajando para administrar y eliminar plantas invasoras no nativas de esta propiedad y, finalmente, ¡estamos construyendo un jardín comunitario en el sitio! ¡Únase a nosotros mientras cuidamos este jardín en ciernes! Manejaremos algunos de los crecimientos no deseados alrededor del jardín, instalaremos un barril de lluvia, quitaremos las malas hierbas de las camas elevadas y plantaremos algunas hierbas y flores.

What to Wear: Long pants, long sleeve shirts, and closed-toe shoes; dress for the weather.

What to Bring: Water, snacks or lunch, leather work gloves (if you have a personal pair you prefer)
