Greenway cleanup

April 17, 2018 @ 10:30 am - 12:30 pm

Join us to celebrate National Volunteer Week and Earth Day by helping us clean our Adopt-a-Greenway section on the Oklawaha Greenway. The Oklawaha Greenway is a greenspace that provides access for people to get outdoors right near downtown, Hendersonville.

We will be walking along the greenway to pick up litter and this event will be especially great because we will provide waders and boots to get litter out of Mud Creek as well! Our section is roughly two miles long and we will spend about two hours beautifying the landscape.

We will not be the only ones out on the greenway this morning but a few other organizations will be doing their own projects as well to show how much we all support our local greenway, including Friends of the Oklawaha Greenway, MountainTrue, City of Hendersonville, Sierra Nevada, Twin Leaf Brewery, ect.

Meet at Greenway entrance next to Berkeley Ball Park.

For more information or to RSVP email volunteer@conservingcarolina.org or call Olivia at 828-697-5777 ext. 211.
