Landslides in WNC – Where, Why, and What Can We Do?

Jennifer Bauer, L.G., of Appalachian Landslide Consultants, will  cover general information about landslides in western North Carolina, the types of landslides most prevalent, where they occur, and what triggers them. She will illustrate what we know about landslides through examples, stories, and photographs. You’ll come away with a better understanding of how landslides affect WNC, and how we can protect ourselves from these natural and human-induced hazards.
